Letter from our Director- We need your continued support
BETHANY PLACE NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT
Dear friends, neighbors and supporters,
We hope this letter finds you well, and that you and your loved ones are safe during this unprecedented time. There is no doubt that these are challenging times for us all, and we hope you’re in good spirits and health! Now more than ever, we are truly blessed for the community that has funded, volunteered, celebrated, and advocated for Bethany Place through the years. At a time when everything feels uncertain, we find comfort and encouragement knowing that you care about our ministry and support our work within the community.
As we adapt to these unprecedented circumstances, we continue to serve our communities as best we can. However, in order to ensure the safety of our community and residents, we’ve made necessary modifications to our daily operations. These changes include closing our Thrift Store and limiting our Bookstore to on-line and curbside pickup. While this decision has negatively impacted a source of our income, we felt that it was the only responsible thing to do during the current pandemic.
Our food pantry, which has been in operation since our inception in 1988, continues to provide for the women and children of Bethany Place and at-need families in the local area. Our pantry inventory has been depleted and we need support to restock our pantry. If you would like to help with the stocking our pantry, our immediate needs are:
· Canned goods
· Non-perishable goods
· Pantry items
· Cleaning supplies
· Toiletry Items
· Feminine Products
As always, financial gifting is always needed and greatly appreciated. However, if you’re unable to make a financial donation, there are other ways that you could help support our ministry. The wear and tear on our existing vehicles has been extensive and we are in need of vehicle donations to facilitate food pickups and furniture donations. We are also accepting donations of appliances, tools and electronics. If you would like to volunteer your time and skills to help, we have various projects and repairs that are needed ranging from carpentry, electrical, plumbing and landscaping.
We are hopeful that leaders of industry, community leaders, religious organizations and residents within the community that we live and work in are willing and able to help the women and children of Bethany Place and the at-need population that we serve. If you are interested in making a financial donation to our ministry, please go to bethanyplacehome.org and go to the donation page. If you can contribute in another way, call me directly at 770.479-9462 to discuss further or please feel free to email me at bethany-place@comcast.net.
Sincerely,
Sandy Reed
